In this video, I make a mining rig using an old but rugged and working motherboard from an older budget gaming PC. Since I had only 5 GPUs at that time for a mining rig build, this is going to be a showcase of my endeavor in that direction, but if you have to max out a similar setup, you can run upto 12 GPUs. To increase the PCIe solts, I used a 1 to 4 PCIe splitter card, bought for less than $35. It’s not a expense-free build but a more sustainable way to meet our ends as we use the old motherboard along with the corresponding CPU and RAM, mining rig builds are always expensive, especially since the GPU/silicon chip shortage started. I have shown how I connected the PCIe splitter card and how to go about changing the BIOS setting for this MSI motherboard specifically, to mine using such a change/modification but you can always find something similar on another BIOS version and .
